1. My child does not attend Holy Trinity Primary can he/ she still join Cosmic United? ......Yes! We welcome children from all schools, even those outside Bradley Stoke. One of our aims is to foster a community spirit and promote new friendships.

2. Are girls welcome? .......Of course! A number of our past members have gone on to join ladies teams after gaining experience her

3. How much do I have to pay to join?........Nothing! We run under the umbrella of Holy Trinity Church and the school has kindly donated the use of the field. However we do ask you to support our tuck shop, as profits from this go to fund equipment and kit.

4. Is there a waiting list and does my child have to come every week? ......Absolutely not! Cosmic United is proud of its open access policy allowing children to attend when they want to.

5. Can I leave any child for the session? .........Yes, but we do ask that you complete a registration form available from the tuck shop, with emergency contact details. Whilst we will take every possible care of your child, football is a contact sport and accidents do happen. Children will only be supervised during their allotted sessions. Please take out your own insurance if you feel appropriate. Cosmic Utd is part of the church at Holy Trinity and as such follows their guidance on child protection matters.

6. Can my child and accompanying siblings use the playground equipment? The school has advised us that only primary school children may use the equipment, at their own risk and under strict parental supervision.

7. What age does my child need to be to attend?
Children can start when they are in reception but we find that most children settle better from about 5 years old. There is no upper age limit although our oldest year group at present is year 10.

8. Do you only operate during the school terms?
We try to run all year but due to leaders' holidays we may need to close during some of the school holidays. Advance notice will always be given.

9. My child plays for another club, can he still come?
Yes. We do not intend to compete with but instead complement other teams. Many of our older players gained the confidence to join league sides by attending Cosmic United and now play for both!

10. Will my child get to play in a match?
We do not belong to a league but during the summer term we look to enter tournaments in most age groups. All are able to take part if they wish. We try to fund this through money raised through the tuck shop. We may also try and arrange friendly matches against other teams.

11. What do I need to wear?
All children must wear shin pads and appropriate footwear. Weather permitting; we try to use the school field so football boots are advisable once your child has attended for a while. Please always bring trainers in case we need to play on the playground.

12. What can I do to help?
There are two main ways you can help. Firstly, help with the coaching, regularly or an occasional basis, is always welcome. Please speak to one of the coaches. Secondly, we always need help in the tuck shop. Please speak to someone behind the counter if you are interested.

13. Who should I speak to find out more?
Either Jon Vaughan-Williams or Paul Peterson on saturday morning from 9.30 til 12.30pm. Alternatively leave a message in the church office.
