Changes in Leadership

Mark and Jane Belger were instrumental in setting up COSMIC Utd 9 years or so ago and have done tremendous work week in, week out, over that period, both on the pitch, in the tuck shop and behind the scenes. Mark and Jane have now stepped down from the overall leadership of the groups but will still maintain an interest and no doubt get involved in various ways. We’re sure you would like to join us in thanking them for all of the hard work they have put in.

Jon and Paul will now be sharing the leadership of COSMIC Utd and can be contacted on the numbers below.

Easter and Beyond

There will be a COSMIC Utd session as usual on Saturday 7th April, but no groups will run on Saturday 14th April

With the weather improving, we hope to be on the grass pitch from April 21st, so come prepared. Studs are allowed and don’t forget that all players are expected to wear shin pads. On wet days we may have to retreat to the playground, where trainers must be worn.

The current age groups are as follows:

9.30am School Years 1, 2 and 3

10.30am School Years 7-11

The group leaders may allow children one year either side of the age bands to join in, but this is purely at the leader’s discretion bearing in mind numbers, ability levels and safety issues.

At present there is no group for School Years 4-6. This is mainly due to the lack of volunteers to run this group. If you are interested in helping out on a regular basis please speak to Paul and Jon. Working with the children and young people is very rewarding and great fun.

Tuck Shop

The tuck shop runs most Saturday mornings and sells a wide range of confectionary as well as hot and cold drinks and bacon sandwiches. Funds raised help in the purchase of footballs and new equipment for COSMIC Utd. Do support it!

Once again the tuck shop is run by volunteers and if you are able to help out, you can speak to Katie Knowles.

Once a month the tuck shop is staffed by other church members raising money for Holy Trinity’s Pastoral Fund. This fund helps to support needy members in the local community.

The Summer term Pastoral fund coffee mornings are scheduled for:

May 19th and June 16th
