On a Sunday morning we have various groups for children and young people that run
alongside our main church service.
C.O.S.M.I.C has two group, one for children aged 4-8 and another group
for ages 8-10 and both groups look at a variety of bible stories in a fun and interesting
way. C.O.S.M.I.C meets in the side rooms beyond the kitchen.
Re:fresh is the group for young people aged 11+ delving deeper into what
Christianity is and how if affects our lives. Re:fresh follows the themes and passages
that are used in the main service. This group meets in the side room off of the main
foyer.
These groups will start in the main service at 10:30 before going off to their groups
around 10:50. The first Sunday of the month is the all age service so these groups do not
meet then.
Cosmic Utd is a football programme that runs on a Saturday morning for
children from 4 years old up to teenagers. There are groups that are mainly split by age
however ability will also play a part in what group children are in.
There is no charge to come-along, but bring some money as
there is a tuck-shop with sweets and drinks. There is also tea and coffee available each
week.
Occasionally there will be coffee mornings which will run
for the duration of Cosmic Utd providing cakes and bacon sandwiches.
9:30 – 10:30 Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7)
10:30 – 11:30 Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11)
Currently we have no KS3 group
Backchat is a youth cell based on Christian themes to open up discussion.
We spend time thinking about the bible as well as having fun, eating and playing games
together. We meet each Tuesday from 6:30 till 8pm.
Space 2 is the Sunday evening group for 11-16 year olds. On a Sunday
evening there are two groups. Space 2 think is a group for young people
to think about God and what Christianity is. There is also space for debate.
Space 2 Chill is an open youth group with
a tuck shop, PS2 and Table tennis as well as space to just ‘chill’ and meet with
friends. It only costs 20p to come.
We also go on trips to Hollywood bowl, laser quest and various other places.
On the first Sunday of each month there are no groups as we
take a trip to The Mix.
Space 2…
Think - 6-7pm
Chill – 7-8pm
The Mix is a Christian worship event run by Woodlands Church in Bristol.
It is aimed at young people and students and runs once a month on the first Sunday. We
will leave Bradley Stoke at 6:20 in the evening for the 7pm start before returning to
Bradley Stoke around 9pm.
Glory Gang is a group for children aged 7 - 11. There are games, songs
fun crafts and stories from the bible told in an interesting and creative way. Glory Gang
meets here at church on a Monday evening from 6-7:30pm during term time.
